in few days it will be over. im somewhat in between of happy and sad feeling.

sad because i will miss the full 10 hours sleep everyday and waking up so late for my afternoon shift...hehehehe

happy because it will be normal again. darn* and there will be upcoming holidays... i hope the moon will show up on the night of the 29th.... so we'll have 4 days straight off...

and could you believe that i am 5 months missing in action in manila... whoa... one more month, it's half of the year!

ito ung feeling ko nun na gusto ko matututo. after 4 months, ngayon lang ako marunong humawak ng corporate account.

gusto ko na lang lumayas at bumalik ng maynila pero ano naman ang gagawin ko dun?

balang araw magiging magaling din ako. at pag magaling nako sa industriyang ito, i shashare ko ung knowledge ko sa mga susunod na taong walang alam dito.

it's almost one month since i didnt update this blog thing.
so many things happened, but everything is in control.

i moved to a new place, very near to my office. what keeps me busy now is taking care of myself again. i hope ill be back to my healthier me.my officemates said i lose weight, but i think that doesnt show much on me coz ive always been thin since i was born. hehe.

i bought a new book which will keep me sane for a week. this is the book that ive ever wanted 4 months ago when i was still in manila. remember me? by sophie kinsella... im not really a bookworm but it's good to read some books once in a while...

i also eat by myself before going to the flat or sometimes i eat there with television in front of me.
i do grocery whenever i feel i need food. sadly, i couldnt cook properly in my new flat coz the kitchen is too small but i hope i can cope with it soon.

what else? ooooh....it's my first time to feel ramadan here in dubai. it's very quiet. i have to observe also. i need to respect them because im in an Arab country. so i dont show to my officemates that i am drinking water or munching anything....

i miss carrefour soooo i will go tonight by myself.... ;P yaaay im really excited!

We had a long weekend so we decided to go clubbing wednesday night. This time my boyfriend got tipsy. i was dancing all night. i dunno why. it was one way to release stress in my body.... swaying, turning around and jumping....yeah!! i dont really care if i dont dance well...hahaha! I thought i had tequila that night, but it was jack daniel's. I didn't like it.

Jabel Hafeet, thirty kilometres south of Al Ain. Al Ain is known as the green city. it just reminded me of my province, Batangas when we had long trip going to this place. I went with my 3 officemates: diaa, mohd and iris then iris husband, friend and sis in law. They're all from Bacolod.

They say this is the second highest mountain in the UAE.

I brought the tuna pesto pasta that i made, we ate it there.We also went to mercure hotel, it was the only hotel on the top of the mountain. my syriano officemates had shisha... and then they asked us to try moroccan tea.... i love it!!! =) got home around 230am and i had to go to work at 9am same day.

today, i had an angry customer. i was trying to calm down to explain to him everything happened. he didn't really understand what i told him yesterday. he was already pressured because he will be travelling inthe next 4 days and the ticket did go up just for one day. i advised him everything. he doesnt even trust me with the price i was giving him. he asked if i was just new and said... "yes, i am new...but i know what i am doing." my job before was different than now. super different. i can't even make face and cuss him quietly because he's in front of me.

last night, i couldn't sleep. maybe i was overslept last wekeend. so, i watched 2 movies. elizabethtown and moulin rouge. i like elizabethtown because of kirsten's role... she's always this messy girl who doesnt care what she looks like... the scrapbook that he made for the guy and the maze to the girl in a carnival. i also like the part where they talk for whole day on the phone, talking anything without getting bored. i miss doing that with a friend. =D

moulin rouge...aaah this one, i can never forget the story even though i seen it just once before. i like musical love story... =P i cried again. i remember my cousin and i watched the premiere in megamall sponsored by guess...we got it for free... =D we even had wine that night... my cousin texted so fast for this promotion. hahaha...

again, i took the bus, im really venting too much... good thing, i have my ipod with me all the time.

an incident happened in the office. this guy... or should i say "kabayan" asking for help from me. first, he asked if we have filipinos around because his car broke down and he only have 10 dirhams in his pocket and police will give him ticket for penalty. he needs to take taxi to his office. he asked for 30 dirhams more. i told him that i dont have money with me which is true. he forced me to give him some. so i gave him all my coins in my purse. he even told me that he will pay more than what he ask but he never return on the same day. it was creepy. all filipinos come and ask to me... and i dont really like it. ugh!

yesterday, my flatmate called and told me that she's going to satwa to buy some mangoes. i was already getting a taxi for us. so she picked me up and went with her.... i dunno why i was happy last night... could be because ive never seen satwa full of filipinos and this filipino store has a lot of filipino products! hehehe... before going home, i bought some food for dinner in this gas station near to our place.... para kaming patay gutom... i have never been so full for the past 2 weeks... hehe later on, after watching 2 or 3 episodes of The O.C.... i went to sleep... hahaha this is the life but yesterday was something different. we didnt go home after work. =)

i loooove green mangoes with bagooong... yummie. i just thought of our office boy who stays there...i might ask him buy for more... or maybe some products which i dont get anywhere near my place. =D

waaah. i was ranting in the office that it was boring...but now, a lot of people want to leave dubai soon... they will call you today and want to travel this weekend.... too much pressure. the flights are all sold out, waistlist are also close... going to southeast asia and some part of middle east....what can i do? i wish we'll have a gateway going to US, because that's the only route i know. it's very hard to find flights... only delta and emirates fly there...

im bored at home...i just eat, sleep and watch movies. and guess what? im learning how to was and iron my own clothes... this is really a punishment for me since i dont do it in my home. i always ask our helper to do it. also, i tried to cook ginisang munggo...hahhaa i got a recipe online.

now, i am fine.

28th of June will be mark as my first month working here. Recently, I was transferred to a new office, this is our 2nd branch here in Dubai. I just feel sad that i am far away from my other colleagues. The office is so big for just 2 staff. I feel lonely. I can't talk to anyone right now, only on cyberspace.

I feel like Im killing my body here. I dont eat the right food at the right time. I am afraid to get fat on my belly part. I am lazy to do sports or do exercise.

it's really getting hot in here.

i just finished sabre training last thursday. i really enjoyed my stay there because they always treat us breakfast and lunch and a load of chocolates while having our lessons in the class. we got some freebies from the company. too bad, they don't have our certificates for the awarding.

this person loves to eat... no matter what you serve him food, he finishes everything! also, he can cook the best sinigang! he indulge himself buying lomographic cameras and films, vintage shirts and skinny jeans on ebay...and i always say "stop buying things you don't need those... you have too much!" he thinks i'm his mom sometimes! yeah, i always make him pakialam. he's my movie partner, he can even chick flick with me! he's my shopping partner/consultant too... he loves film and dream of becoming a film director someday! i say "go and reach for the stars!!!" he's the smartest and the most creative person i've ever met! he's always on front of the computer tinkering or posting photos on his website... you cannot stop him from being himself!! he influence me a lot on things...as in really bad but in a good way... hahaha!! what can i say you're one of a kind!!

my typical weekend

this is how my weekend goes while i'm still waiting for my papers to be processed!

on thursday afternoon, i go to media city where my boyfriend works. i ride a taxi then a bus... last week, i was able to catch X25 bus on jumeirah road... it was my first time to ride on a new bus! i knew already the schedule soo...

here's my onitsuka shoes given by my boyfriend. while waiting for the bus to arrive....it gave me blisters and my feet doesn't even look good now =(

that's all for now...hafta clean my space and take a bath it's almost 2pm here...=)

i am still struggling with how people speak english by different nationalities... sometimes they don't even speak english. you just have to guess what they're saying by pointing out on something.

so if there's a filipino staff in a restaurant, shop... i just speak to them plainly in tagalog... "ate/kuya... magkano po 'toh?"

im still proud and say i'm from Manila, Philippines/ i'm a Filipino!

it's already weekend here in dubai. it's going be my 3rd week this coming sunday.

sobrang boring during weekdays im always left alone. my friends have work. i only go out when there's an interview... normally, i wake up at 930am... go online, chat at the same time looking for jobs. i think im already adjusted here with the people working in constructions will look at you... i just dont mind them. also those people who whisper say "sexy" or by whistle. some "kabayans" here would approach me... san ka nag wowork... san ka nakatira... and all those friendly approach... somehow relieved myself from being a loner... but i dont reveal too much of myself...

it's kindda hot here already... yung water sa shower ang init kahit wala nang heater... kawawa tlga buhok ko dito.... hahaha sobrang abused na... good thing there's centralized a/c in our room to cool down my hair... kundi sobrang tigas na nya sa dry....hahaha!

got a job offer already. it's exactly the way i wanted... the offer is a good start for newbies like me. believe it or not it's the first company who called me up... i had 3 interviews with them. one from manager, regional manager and then general manager! God really answered my prayers, i was losing hope already. this is the career that i would like to concentrate for the next 10yrs... =) sana mag succeed naman ako in the future...let's hope for the best!

we had lunch with mickey's mafias in media city... we ate in sumo, a japanese resto near his office. then we went to a freight company to get my surprise gift!!! it was 2 jackets that he bid on ebay!! onitsuka and tokidoki!! at night, mickey and i went to smiling bkk... one of the coolest places in dubai... i love the ambiance, how they set up their menu list and the food! we bought a cake after... went home and took pictures... i had another surprise gift from ei and steve and lotsa text messages from my friends in manila....thank you and im sorry i cant reply you back, i dont have much load here.

i do have my own little space here. bought the sheets from ikea... i can now sleep better =)

my last minute travel was so stressful! the check in line at the counter was so long then when i reached the counter... the agent asked me.. are you visiting or looking for a job? i plainly told him i was just visiting my relative who is sick. i found out that i have exceeded max baggage limit...so i paid 172usd! (that was supposed to be my pocket money!) then i went to the ticket office to get my return trip, it was voided by the agent. so had to request another return flight, waited for another 30mins. when i went to immigration, the girl asked so many questions. i was running to the boarding gate and everyone were on the plane... finally, i was able to sit and relax... i saw a familiar crew and approached her....

im still adjusting to my new place. i dont have my own personal space here. i really miss my own room...my closet, my dresser, my bed, my stuff.... i only have limited clothes here... didnt even bring any jackets... kala ko mainit na mainit na...

God gave him a second life. he was in coma late last year because he was bitten by a japanese mosquito. he was hospitalized in Sydney, Australia. all the doctors called him "miracle man".

my mom told me this morning that tito yoy a.k.a miracle man passed away. i was shocked! nobody knows until his ex-wife, tita deborah went to his house, wondering why he didnt call their son. upon entering the house, she could smell a body decomposing already. ang baho daw. apparently, it has been 3 days already since he was found lying on the floor. he died of heart attack based from the autopsy.

i remember the first time i met him in Rockwell- Country Style, he was already talking about his maid and some girlfriends. he was really funny, crazy man. he even called me "princess" during my grandfather's 65th birthday. also, when we had a flight to lax last 2 years ago, he took care of us even though he was in first class (he was a steward of pal)

i can't believe it's april already. how time flies so fast. i'll be turning 25 already. yay! i've been working for 2 yrs and months... still haven't fulfilled my dreams yet! i need to start doing it...

i remember when i was still in elementary, i used to write in my friend's autograph book... my favorite month: april & may...the reason? it's summer!~we have no school and my family and i would go on a swimming/beach vacation... i always swim no matter what time of the day... and i dont even care how dark my skin would turn out.... when i get back home.... my ama-h (grandmother in chinese) would say.... "what happened to you? you are so dark. don't swim next time." (errr...i cannot tell you exactly what she said to me in chinese) but my mom wouldn't even care about me. she knew that i would go back to my original color. i feel so different among my cousins because they always care about their chinese porcelain skin.... and i dont...i wish i could show you how dark ive got of chlorine! hahaha!!! i just love the water and couldn't resist jumping into the pool or beach... i even dreamt about owning a pool or a beach when i was a kid...

HONOLULU (AP) -- Aloha Airlines said Sunday it will halt all passenger service after Monday, signaling the end of an airline that has served Hawaii for more than 60 years.
Aloha, which filed for bankruptcy for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on March 21, was a casualty of fierce competition and rising fuel prices. The airline said it will stop taking reservations for flights after Monday.
"We simply ran out of time to find a qualified buyer or secure continued financing for our passenger business," said Aloha President David Banmiller in a statement. "We had no choice but to take this action."
Aloha has suffered since Phoenix-based Mesa Air Group Inc. launched a new interisland carrier called go! airlines in 2006, triggering a local airfare war.
Banmiller didn't mentioned go! by name in his statement, but did blame the company's demise on rival companies.
"Unfortunately, unfair competition has succeeded in driving us out of business," he said.
Rising fuel prices, which have forced other airlines to raise fares and look for ways to cut expenses, also made it difficult for Aloha to operate.
Aloha said tickets for flights after Monday will not be honored. It said it is working to have United Airlines accommodate passengers with tickets for Aloha's mainland to Hawaii flights. It hopes to seat those with interisland tickets on Hawaiian Airlines.
Aloha has canceled Monday flights from Hawaii to the West Coast and between several cities in California and Nevada. It's last day for interisland travel will be Monday.
Aloha advised passengers who don't want to fly another airline and who want a refund to contact their travel agents or credit card companies. Those who paid by cash or check may file a claim in bankruptcy court.
The shutdown will affect about 1,900 employees. The company said air cargo services are to continue.
A Seattle company on Thursday offered to buy Aloha's cargo operations for an undisclosed amount. But Saltchuk Resources Inc. said it wasn't interested in taking over Aloha's passenger business.
Aloha Airlines was founded in 1946.

We were completing the stickers together and i was surprised that i got this starbs planner. i remember he tells me he forget to bring his card. so it always go on my sticker card everytime we go out for a coffee saturday night. look, i have had mr. snowman! i wanted him to preserve but it's a cookie. also, he gave me a nike jacket which was expensive. gulp! i still have it here and i wear it in the office.

This is the impromptu cake that i bought in Bizu when we had dinner in Cibo Greenhills. It's Sofhia's legs. He went here for a 2 week vacation. he went back and forth manila to visit me and iligan where his family stays. This is the first time ever i had celebrated his birthday with him.
